2nd Week and Already Trouble?

Second week on campus and I am already coming accross trouble? No, absolutely not. Last weekend, I was caught up in the wrong situation at the wrong time. I am extremely aware it is not the matter being "in the wrong place at the wrong time". I take responserbility for my action (being in the presence of alcohol). Although I was there for no longer then 10minutes,  I am aware that I shouldn't have been there in the first place. I guess it is one of those things you have to personally experience before realizing the seriousness of it. According to Community Standards, for my punishment, I am required to do a total of 5 hours of community service. I am choosing to volunteer at a Special Olympics event being held by the Sports Complex next weekend.  Aside from my little incident with Stonehill's Community Standards, it was a great week. Not too busy definately not too relaxed. Is there such thing as a relaxed day or a wek at stonehill? Definately don't think so. Favorite assignment this week was hands down having to do a self-portrait with my feet! Imagine how it came out. Definately doesn't look like me for sure. Oh, and Healthcare? God please help me! I have a two chapter quiz coming up this wednesday. So many terms to memorize! I am really going to have to lock myself in the science center this week and get things done. It is by far going to be the hardest week I've had this semester, but then I've only been in school for 3 weeks.

First Week.

First week of my second semester in college just ended and I am already bombarded with work! For courses this semester, I am taking Healthcare Foundations for my major, Figure Drawing and Portrait Workshop for my minor, and Philosophy and Literature for my general education courses. As far as I know, I made a great decision by switching my major from Biology to Healthcare administration. My very first assignment this past week was to read the first chapter and write a Point to Pounder (2-3 paragraph), response on it. Only one chapter deep and I already feel like I am a Pro. in the Healthcare business. It is an exciting course and I am looking foward to learning more about it. The Gen. Ed. class are not so excited because I am not a fan of wreading and writting essays. As for Figure Drawing and Portrait Workshop, I can not be any happier. So much time and effort is expected but I have absolutely nothing to complain about. This level is exactly where I want to be and where I was hoping to be all along as a Bio. major. I am excited to see what next week holds.

Back at the hill and I am excited to go to work this semester! Last semester was all about the learning experience and the transitioning process. This semester is about having a blast and going hard in the books. Goals for this Semester: 3.2 GPA, Making the Peer Mentoring Program, the ALANA Big Brother and Sister program, and going down to New Orleans for Spring break! Lets see how everything turns out.
